On Tuesday June 30th, 2026, Hamilton Police were called to the area of Powerline Road West and Bethel Church Road in Ancaster after a person was located deceased off the roadway. The deceased person was believed to be cycling Westbound on Powerline Road. The Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and Mountain Criminal Investigations Division were called to the scene to continue the investigation. The circumstances of the death are unknown at this time, and the matter is still under investigation. Anyone who was in the area between the hours of 12:30pm and 3:30pm that may have information or dashcam footage are asked to call Detective Chris Button at 905-546-2977.
