Hamilton Police continue to investigate a fatal shooting that occurred in the area of Nebo Road and Hempstead, claiming the life of 33-year-old Spencer Laffin.

Shortly after 5:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of shots fired outside Satellite Tires at 100 Nebo Rd. Laffin was at his workplace when the shooting happened. He managed to flee to a neighbouring property where he was shot several more times and succumbed to his injuries. 

Laffin is survived by his parents, sister, grandmother, and a two-year-old son.

Investigators are seeking a dark-colored 4-door SUV in connection with the shooting. The shooter is described as a male, black, approximately 6 ft tall, with a thin build. He was seen wearing dark clothing and a surgical mask.

Residents can expect a continued police presence in the area for the next 48 hours. Police are processing the scenes, collecting video evidence, and interviewing witnesses. The motive for the homicide remains unknown.
