Hamilton Police investigators are appealing for witnesses after two males were shot in the area of King William Street and John Street North. 

On Sunday, October 15, 2023, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a shooting and found two 24-year-old male victims with gunshot wounds. Both males were transported to hospital. One male is in stable condition, while the other male is in critical condition.

Police believe the shooting was targeted. At this time, there is no information on the suspects or vehicles involved.

There were many witnesses at the scene and investigators are encouraging those individuals who were present to come forward. Hamilton Police are also asking residents, businesses, or anyone driving in the area to review their security surveillance cameras or dashcams between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. for any suspicious activity. 

There will be a heavy police presence in the area as police canvass for video and information.
