Hamilton Police Launch Online Human Trafficking Reporting
The Hamilton Police Service is pleased to announce the launch of a new online reporting option for occurrences of human trafficking.
This online reporting option is designed to enhance victim safety and accessibility by providing an alternative for individuals who may not feel safe or able to attend a police station in person. Human trafficking victims often face significant barriers to seeking help, and this initiative aims to reduce those barriers while offering a discreet and secure way to reach police.
The Hamilton Police Service recognizes the complex and sensitive nature of human trafficking and is committed to ensuring victims are supported with compassion, dignity, and respect. This reporting option allows individuals to come forward when they are ready, while still enabling police to begin an investigation and connect victims with appropriate supports and resources.
Anyone experiencing or aware of human trafficking is encouraged to use the online reporting tool www.hamiltonpolice.on.ca. or contact police if it is safe to do so. In an emergency, members of the public should call 9-1-1. If someone is not ready to report, but is seeking support, please contact Hamilton Police Victim Services at 905-546-4904.
