On Friday, April 17, 2026, at approximately 12:40 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle at the intersection of Concession 5 Road and Kirkwall Road.

Upon arrival, officers observed emergency services personnel providing life-saving measures to the motorcyclist. Tragically, the rider succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and remained at the scene.

The Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit has assumed carriage of the investigation and is currently reviewing all factors that may have contributed to the collision.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dashcam footage from the area at the time to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-546-4753.
