Serious Injuries Result from a Hamilton Mountain Collision

On Saturday, July 23, 2022 at approximately 1:30 a.m., a male riding an electric kick scooter was struck by Honda Civic motor a vehicle travelling northbound on Upper Kenilworth Av near Landron Av. The 20-year-old operator of the Honda stopped his vehicle and contacted 911.  The operator of the scooter sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital by Paramedics.

Due to the severity of injuries, the Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit was activated and is conducting the investigation.

At this time, the identity of the male on the scooter remains unknown. The driver of the scooter is described as male, white, 5’7” – 5’9” tall, 160 -170 lbs, clothing unknown, white bandana on head. The scooter is described as a black Gyrocopters brand with red detailing.
