Update in Ongoing Emily Bailey Investigation

Hamilton Police have concluded a search at a residence on Stinson Street connected to the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Emily Bailey. 

The search was conducted by the Hamilton Police Service Homicide Unit with assistance from the Centre of Forensic Sciences and the Ontario Provincial Police. Investigators continue to actively pursue information in the case and remain committed to finding answers for Emily’s family. 

Emily was reported missing on January 10, 2022, after family and friends were unable to contact or locate her — behaviour considered completely out of character. Emily was last see in the area of Weir Street North and she has not been seen or heard from since.Throughout the investigation, Hamilton Police have conducted extensive investigative efforts into Emily’s disappearance. Investigators believe foul play was involved.

Four years later, the search for Emily continues. Investigators believe there are individuals with information about Emily’s disappearance who have not yet come forward. Emily’s family continues to seek answers regarding what happened to her.

Emily is described as:

  • White female
  • 23 years old at the time of her disappearance
  • 5’4” tall
  • Approximately 100 lbs
  • Slim build
  • Shoulder-length black/brown hair with dyed blue or green highlights

Emily’s visible tattoos include:

  • An elephant on her left forearm
  • A Batman symbol on the outside of her right forearm
