Pedestrian Fatally Struck on RHVP - UPDATE

UPDATE

On Saturday, February 17th, 2024, at approximately 11:00 pm, Hamilton Emergency Services responded to a report of a pedestrian struck in the northbound lanes of the Red Hill Valley Parkway just north of King Street.

A 29-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the involved vehicle, as well as other witnesses, remained at the scene and are cooperating with investigators

Both directions of the Red Hill Valley Parkway were closed for several hours as the investigation was completed.

The HPS Collision Reconstruction Unit was called in and has taken carriage of the investigation. All lanes of the Red Hill Valley Parkway have now been re-opened.
