Hamilton Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a shooting that took place last evening and are asking for the assistance of the public.  

On Tuesday December 26th, 2023 shortly before 7:30 pm, officers were called to the area of Proctor Blvd and King Street East for reports of shots fired.  Upon arrival, police learned that the victim had been struck with a projectile believed to be discharged from a firearm.  The victim was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.  The shooting is believed to be targeted.  

The investigation is in the preliminary stages and there are no suspect descriptions available at this time.  If you have any information that could assist in this investigation, you are asked to call the Division 1 Staff Sergeant at 905 546-4725.
