On Thursday December 14, 2023, shortly before 5:30 PM, a 71-year-old Hamilton female was crossing Queenston Road northbound at Riverdale Drive in the City’s east end. The female was struck by a westbound Jaguar motor vehicle that was being driven by a 72-year-old male from Grimsby. The female was transported to Hospital where she is listed in serious life threatening condition.

The driver of the Jaguar remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Speed, distraction and driver impairment have been ruled out as factors.

Due to the severity of the injuries the HPS Collision Reconstruction Unit was called in and has taken carriage of the investigation.
